Aperçu

Ce beau bâtiment colonial hollandais de deux étages a été restauré pour devenir l'un des quartiers commerçants et gastronomiques les plus populaires de Colombo. Des murs épais, des cours ombragées et des vérandas aux volets en bois abritent désormais des cafés, des boutiques d'artisanat et des restaurants au cœur du quartier des affaires de Fort, à quelques pas de Galle Face Green.

Histoire

Built during the Dutch colonial period in the 17th century to care for the staff of the Dutch East India Company, it is thought to be the oldest building in the Colombo Fort area. After decades of institutional use it was sympathetically restored and reopened as a heritage shopping precinct in 2011.
