亚洲最大的植物园之一，占地 60 多公顷，坐落在马哈威利河 (Mahaweli River) 的环路上。

概述

佩拉德尼亚花园拥有 4,000 多种植物，包括著名的兰花屋、高耸的皇家棕榈树大道、树冠面积达 1,600 平方米的巨型爪哇无花果树，以及来访的皇室成员和政要种植的树木。一大群果蝠栖息在河边的树林里。

历史

Formal gardens were established here in 1821, on land that had been a royal garden of the Kandyan kings. During the Second World War the site served as the South-East Asia Command headquarters of Lord Mountbatten.
