概述

博戈达木桥是一座精致的带顶木人行桥，横跨加兰达奥亚河，位于巴杜勒以西约 7 公里处。它没有使用一颗钉子建造，顶部有康提风格雕刻的瓦片屋顶，它曾经载着朝圣者沿着康提王国和乌瓦神社之间的一条古老路线行走。它旁边矗立着小型的博戈达拉贾玛哈寺 (Bogoda Raja Maha Vihara)，上面有古老的岩石庇护所壁画。

历史

The bridge is believed to date from the 16th century in the Dambadeniya period and is regarded as the oldest surviving wooden bridge in Sri Lanka, and the only one of its type from the Kandyan era. It formed part of a historic pilgrimage route linking the Kandyan Kingdom with the major Buddhist shrines of the Uva Province.
