库杜比加拉 (Kudumbigala) 是一座大气的森林修道院，隐藏在巴拿马南部的丛林中，靠近库马纳国家公园的边界。该遗址分布在数百公顷茂密的灌木丛中，保存着两百多个曾经供僧侣冥想的岩洞，其中许多都刻有古老的婆罗米滴水壁铭文。攀登花岗岩露头的陡峭路线，经过一座独特的圆柱形佛塔，据说这是斯里兰卡唯一的此类佛塔，到达山顶，可以欣赏到周围荒野和海岸的全景。其与世隔绝的环境和野生动物使其成为阿鲁加姆湾难忘的半日游。

历史

The monastery was founded in the 3rd century BCE, traditionally in the reign of King Devanampiya Tissa, and inscriptions show it flourished as a meditation retreat from the 3rd century BCE to around the 7th century CE. Abandoned and swallowed by jungle for centuries, it was revived in the 20th century as a forest hermitage and remains a protected archaeological site.
