Overview
Set in the former Hantane Tea Factory 3 km south of Kandy, this museum honours the pioneers of Ceylon tea, including James Taylor and Thomas Lipton. Antique rollers and driers fill the lower floors, while the top floor serves a cup of tea with valley views.
History
The 1925 factory was refurbished and opened as a museum in 2001 by the Sri Lanka Tea Board and the Planters' Association.
