概述

纳鲁尔·坎达斯瓦米神庙 (Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil) 是贾夫纳的精神中心，也是斯里兰卡最重要的印度教寺庙之一，供奉穆卢干勋爵 (Skanda/Kandaswamy)。其赭色和金色的塔楼、柱廊、圣池和金色拱门吸引了源源不断的信徒，每天的礼拜活动都充满了鼓声、樟脑烟雾和诵经声。每年 8 月，这座寺庙都会举办为期 25 天的盛大节日，届时会有战车游行和信徒进行忏悔活动。

历史

The present temple was established in 1749, though earlier shrines on the site date back to the Jaffna Kingdom before they were destroyed by the Portuguese in the 17th century. It has grown over the centuries into the grandest kovil in the north and the ceremonial centre of Jaffna Tamil Hindu life.
